This shot was taken by putting a small torch on top of the bottle. I like the effect but the finished shot needs a lot of work.

Granddaughter

Happy Easter,

This is a shot that I took a week ago of Casey my Granddaughter. I found that this weekend I had plenty of time on my hands and so I opened this photo up into Photoshop Elements. I started by cropping the image and then I took away some of the hairs that were dangling in front of her face with the the spot healing brush. 

The I used the Quick selection tool to select the eyes and mouth, then I had to inverse the image so that the unsharp mask wouldn't have any effect on the other part of the photo. After the eyes and mouth were sharp enough I then inversed them back again and then started to use the surface blur tool to give the face a nice soft look (to hide any blemishes). Once I was happy enough with the previous effects I decided to change from Colour to B&W, I did this with the aid of Silver Efex Pro 2, where I used the Antique plate 2 for the above effect, which I'm very pleased with.  

Anyway have a nice Easter holiday weekend and don't eat too much chocolate
