Grand Daughter

This portrait was taken by the window with a reflector that I bought on e-bay. There was no other form of light used other than that entering the window. This was just a lucky shot as I'd only ever seen this type of photo in magazines. What I did was to take my camera right up close to the lightest part on Abbi's face  and take a reading of the camera  and then to stand back and recompose my shot as well as to use the original readings. The background was just just a cheap black throw.

  1. Good composition but it needs to show more light in the eyes. You could try positioning her face to catch more of the near side and try to channel the light in that direction so we can see the light in her eye.
